On Wednesday, the whole of Year 3 went to visit Quarry Bank Mill to learn about Victorian workhouses. Whilst we were there we learnt about how water was used to power the workhouse, and how mill workers, with the help of huge machines, produced cotton for the country. We also learnt about the lives of school children in the Victorian times and discovered that they had to start work at 5:30am! Overall we had an amazing time and learnt a lot of new and exciting facts.
