On Wednesday the 1st of November, Year 6 took part in a Terrific Scientific experiment for the University of Kent. The experiment was about feet.
We learned that our feet have 250,000 sweat glands and we produce about half a pint of moisture from our feet every day. The experiment, which was interesting, was about how flexible our feet are depending which terrain we have grown up on.
To test this, we sat down on a chair and tested how large our feet were as well as the arch index height. Then, we stood up and completed the test again.
To fully complete the test, we calculated how flexible our feet are by doing a multiple of calculations. It was fun and exciting as well as being fascinating.
