We want our children to be masters in computing!

Here at New Ford we teach computing by actively encouraging children to challenge themselves in the subject area. We support children to consider how taught skills could be used for future career pathways in a digital world. Across the Academy, we teach computing discretely in a systematic way ensuring progression is evident through the year groups and key stages. Key skills are built upon through progression and children are challenged accordingly.  

The curriculum is designed to ensure skills are progressive and allow children to retain key skills and knowledge from previous learning.

As an Academy, online safety is a key priority and it is embedded within our whole school ethos. It is a golden thread  through our curriculum and we support children and parents to ensure children are aware of the dangers they face when accessing online material.
