We ensure that computing is an essential part of our curriculum at New Ford. We strongly believe that the successful systematic teaching of computing will support and shape the futures of our children. We aim for pupils to succeed in future computing careers and use the knowledge taught to better shape their futures.  

We make links to other subject areas and we use technology to enrich the entire curriculum. We are aware that for many young people the distinction between the online world and other aspects of life is less marked than for some adults. Young people often operate very freely in the online world and by secondary school age some are likely to be spending a substantial amount of time online. With this in mind, we ensure online safety is taught systematically across all year groups and content is age appropriate to best meet the needs of cohorts.
