The Chicks come to Visit 18th May 2021

Last week, Mrs Millington kindly brought in the 7 female chicks which she rehomed.

These were Lexie's observations of the chick's development:

Two weeks ago, the chicks were tiny and they still had their egg tooth. They had no adult feathers. Now, they have grown and they have lots of adult feathers which are white. They are taller and their legs have got a bit chunkier. They were fluffy and yellow and they had no feathers when they left. However, when they came back, they had brown and white feathers. The chicks could flap their wings so they would scoot across the room.
