We plan in opportunities to enrich our children’s learning in RE through role-play, drama, art & crafts and even food. Here are just a few examples:

In Y3 RE our children have been exploring how festivals and worship show what matters to Muslims and making links with what matters to them. To complete our learning, the children took part in an enrichment lesson on Monday, tasting some party foods that may be used at EID and decorating hand templates to compare with their own experiences celebrations.

Also in Y3 RE our children have explored ideas about the trinity and made a Christmas decoration to reinforce & retain their learning.

In Y4 RE had a visit from a visiting west end performer as part of their Topic and a Diwali dance workshop.

In Y5 RE our children have explored Christmas traditions around the world and have made gingerbread craft houses to reinforce & retain their learning that people celebrate secular & religious sides of Christmas in diverse ways al around the world. They also sampled some UK Christmas foods.
