A visit from Florence Nightingale
Year 1 had an exciting WOW Day linked to their history unit on Florence Nightingale. The children took part in engaging sessions where they learned about the poor conditions of hospitals in her time, practiced cleaning and caring for "injured soldiers," and discovered how Florence Nightingale transformed nursing and healthcare. It was a fantastic hands-on experience that brought history to life and helped our young learners understand her incredible impact.
