Autumn Walk October 2024
The nursery children went for an Autumn walk around our school environment.
We were looking for signs of Autumn and looking at the changes in the colour of the leaves. The leaves have started to fall and we noticed more falling as the wind blew through the trees.
We found some apples, berries, mushrooms and blackberries, we discussed how we must not eat these as they may give us an upset tummy. Children commented that they were only for the birds and squirrels.
We talked about how the leaves will start to turn orange and red and fall to the ground. The children enjoyed going on a green leaf hunt and also looking for leaves that had turned yellow, we then took these into the classroom to observe using our magnifying glasses. We will continue to look for signs of Autumn.
