Bird Box Making at Whitfield Valley 12th December 2018

On Wednesday all of the year 5 children went to Whitfield Valley Nature reserve. As part of our topic work the children went on a nature/ bird walk around the lake finding out more about different birds including birds of prey. The children were given binoculars and were able to spot a variety of different birds. After this, the children used their carpentry skills to create bird boxes for a variety of different species. Using a hammer and nails, they were able to build a shelter for them to nest in. All the children were a credit to us all and really enjoyed themselves.
