Bringing Florence Nightingale’s Story to Life!
Year 1 had a fantastic history WOW Day, using drama to explore hospital life before and after Florence Nightingale’s impact. The children acted out scenes to compare the changes she made, bringing history to life in an exciting way. They also got creative by making their own Fanoos lamps, just like the one she carried, and drawing their own ward pets for comfort—just as soldiers had in her hospitals. It was a wonderful day of learning and imagination!
