Church Visit 19th June
On Wednesday 19th June, Year 4 walked to their local Church in Smallthorne.
As part of Year 4 RE, they have looked at how churches are special for Christians. The children were able to look and explore all around the church looking at special features and objects.
They listened to a talk about the church by Father Andrew and were able to ask him lots of questions about what they had seen and about the role of the church in the community.
This half term we are looking at special landmark events including weddings and baptisms and Father Andrew talked through what happens at the church which make these events special.
The children really enjoyed their trip to St Saviours Church and it enriched their learning linked to both of their Summer Term topics.
