In Year 4 we had a RE WOW morning on Wednesday 15^th October linked to our RE Topic on Hindu Beliefs and exploring how these are reflected in celebrations of Diwali.

Our children got creative designing their very own Diva lamps using modelling clay, bright colours and sequins in true Indian style.

Our children also explored designing their own patterns and rangoli patterns.

They also had a Bollywood style dance workshop to explore how Indian dance is a part of Hindu festivals and culture. We used this to retell the story of Rama and Sita, to consolidate their skills of being able to retell a story from a different religion. The children really enjoyed their morning and it was wonderful to see the delight on their faces as they took part.
