This week’s Wednesday assembly looked at advent and counting down to Christmas, alongside a brief look at topical news.

We explored some advent traditions and Christmas food linked with and their origins. We also thought about the amount of food that is bought at Christmas time to make this season special.

Food is just one good and exciting thing about Christmas, but we also sensitively thought about food waste, thinking of those who may struggle at Christmas and how we can show kindness and charity to others.
