Exploring Autumn October 2024
In the Nursery, we have been studying lots of different autumnal objects, including different sorts of pumpkins, squashes, gourds, conkers, pine cones, and autumnal leaves. We looked at them with our magnifying glasses and felt the different textures. The pumpkins were different sizes and colours, and some of them felt heavy. The pine cones felt rough and the conkers felt smooth. We have also been developing our fine motor skills by hammering golf tees into a large pumpkin with hammers. We have had lots of fun investigating. We are continuing to observe the changes in our outdoor environment as the season develops.
