Finance Day
Our children have had lots of fun exploring lots of ideas and learning connected with money as part of our first ever finance day.
From Nursery through to Y6 children have been active in exploring a range of themes through a different activities including role play, budgeting, creating purses and money boxes too in some year groups.
Children have said that they have really enjoyed learning about money, thinking about different ways to pay for things and discussing spending and saving strategies. Here are some pictures of what they’ve done.
All our children completed a special certificate for their personal development folder.
Money Day Nursery
On Wednesday 17th July our Nursery children had lots of fun during our first ever school finance day. We learned about, and shared our ideas and experiences of money through stories, role play and craft activities.
The children enjoyed listening to the stories in the Ed and Bunny series by Matt Carr, where they discussed earning, saving and spending money.
We also enjoyed a range of role play experiences, where we used and handled money, pretending to be customers, clients and employees in the working world of design, construction, medicine, retail, food and beauty.
As part of our creative learning curriculum, all the children decorated their own money bag using a variety of collage items and media.
