Pools Cavern Visit October 2025
Year 3 trip to Pooles Cavern: This week Year 3 went on a trip to visit a real life cave at Poole's cavern. We discussed why and how people in the Stone Age would have used the cave and explored the purpose they used different parts of the cave for. We also learnt about the type of rock the cave is made from and how it was formed (linking with our Science topic of rocks). Finally, at the end, we tested our bravery and saw what it was like when all the lights in the cave were switched off! What an amazing day!
