We are very lucky and grateful to have volunteers who come into our school on a weekly basis to read with groups of children in order to develop fluency in reading.

We currently have a number of reading volunteers in Reception, Year 1 and Year 6.

Historically Sandra, from the charity Age UK, has dedicated much of her time in Year 3 and 4 to listen to children read and develop fluency. The children in our EYFS have also enjoyed reading with her daughter, Valda, on a weekly basis.
