To mark Remembrance Day, the children learnt and recited a range of war time poetry. In the afternoon, the children then applied their art skills to design a variety of poppy memorials using different media. We linked the art afternoon to local history topics which have been previously covered. 

We are very proud of the children for showing our school values of respect and empathy throughout the two minutes silence during our assembly and throughout the rest of the day.
