In Science, Year 6 have been learning about the circulatory system.  We have been identifying and naming the main parts of the human circulatory system and describing the functions of the heart, blood vessels, lungs and blood vessels.  In addition, we have been describing the ways in which nutrients and water are transported within humans and recognizing the impact of diet, exercise, drugs and lifestyle on the way bodies function.

We have created our own models of blood in a bottle, a pump to represent the heart and a model to represent the flow of oxygenated and deoxygenated blood.
