Special Ambassadors

Here at New Ford we like to encourage children that have a particular passion or enjoyment of a subject or desire to help younger children develop their skills.

We have cultivated a special opportunity through being subject ambassadors. Their role varies between subjects but often involves giving up a little of their time on a designated lunch time to promote their subject through portable enrichment tasks to engage other children, develop skills or simply a love of learning.

We have opportunities that vary from year to year to give variety for children to step up and develop their passions.

For example, previously our reading ambassadors enjoy reading aloud to children during break times. As well as reading and listening to stories for pleasure, this enables reading with fluency and expression to be modelled to children by their peers. These have been equipped with a case of books, supervised a reading caravan and now support Mrs Dilek in the Outdoor classroom to help our children to develop their love of reading.
