Toy's from the past.
Toys from the Past In Nursery this week, we have been continuing to learn about the past, and we have had lots of fun playing with toys from the past! These were the types of toys that children would have played with years ago, before electronic gadgets had been invented. These included toys made of wood and metal, such as a cup and ball, spinning top, tumble down a ladder toy, a pecking chicken paddle toy, a drum, a yo-yo, a diablo, a pull along dog, and an automaton. We were also able to play an exciting game called 'Perfection' from the 1980s which belonged to one of our teachers. We all enjoyed playing with the different toys and said that we would like to have toys like this ourselves. It was such a lot of fun! Here are some of our children's comments: Nancy - 'You have to push the top to spin it.' (the spinning top) Bobby - 'I would like one for Christmas.' (a pecking chicken toy) Frankie - 'I like the drum.' Florence said that she'd like a drum for Christmas.
