This week’s Wednesday assembly looked at the environment, making links to 5^th June World Environment Day & 8th June World Oceans Day, alongside a brief look at events recently in the news.

We thought about how Environment Day & World Ocean’s Day celebrates our blue planet, whilst also learning the importance This is a time to celebrate our blue planet, whilst also learning the importance that our world and oceans are preserved and protected because of its link to life on land and tackling climate change.

We also discussed how computers use electricity ad this can be produced in good or more harmful ways for the planet. We looked at how using computers in different ways can use more or less electricity and the role AI has in increasing and decreasing impact of technology on the environment.
