Would you give away your belongings? Could pre-loved clothes become more popular than buying new?
This week’s Wednesday assembly looked at how pre loved clothes. We thought about how some shopping habits are changing, alongside a brief look at items in the news as usual and some current events.
We thought about how buying pre loved clothes can benefit the environment as well as our bank balances. We also thought about other types of belongings too - could these be used by others in a good way? Could our former toys benefit someone else, make some money and create space for new things that we may want more as we grow older?
Our children then voted to share their views on their questions.
This is how our children voted on these topics:

We also advertised our Harvest Collection for 2024
As a school we are again collecting donations for Foodbank and these can continue to come into school next week ready for our Harvest Celebration on Wednesday 2nd October.
We are promoting opportunities to make a positive contribution with our Stoke-on-Trent Food Bank Donation Appeal in school. We also watched a short video to understand the work of this important local charity as part of our Wednesday Assembly this week.
If you are able to contribute, then please send in a food donation with your child and they will receive Dojo reward points and a certificate for their Personal Development Folder.
