Introduction:

This week we have had a fantastic time learning about the Gingerbread man that led up to a special WOW day on the 19th October.

What happened on our Wow Day

On Monday, the children found a note asking for us to look at the CCTV from outside.

When we looked, we saw the gingerbread man and his friends running around our outdoor area! We quickly went to hunt for clues to find him and discovered him in our woodland area!

We then produced maps to show the journey the gingerbread man had taken and labelled them.

We then had a gingerbread treat and a hot chocolate to celebrate returning him safely.

Skills we developed as part of this experience included team building, Making Relationships, Listening and Attention and Understanding of the world.

We also made cross-curricular links with Understanding of the World/ Geography.

We were also able to develop the School & British Values of Resilience and Honesty.
