Chinese New Year
We have been learning about Chinese New Year in Nursery this week. We have learned about the origins of how the years are named after different animals, through the story of 'The Great Race'. We also learned about the different celebrations that take place within families and the community. Many of our learning activities have been linked to this theme where we have made Chinese dragons, blossom fans, performed dragon dances, and tasted prawn crackers and soy sauce. We have had lots of fun learning about this special event.
