Dinosaur Topic
This half term the Daisies have been learning all about dinosaurs. We have become dinosaur experts by discovering lots of interesting dinosaur facts, including learning that some dinosaurs were carnivores (meat eaters) and some were herbivores (plant eaters). In art, we explored different materials to create dinosaur masks, skeletons and playdough models. We used our creativity and imagination to bring our dinosaurs to life! We also enjoyed making herbivore sandwiches using cucumber, tomatoes and lettuce. It was lots of fun preparing and tasting our healthy dinosaur snacks!
This week the Poppies have made their own sandwich- for a herbivore! We have begun our learning about dinosaurs and what herbivores, carnivores and omnivores eat. The children made sure they washed their hands, used the knives to carefully butter the bread and then chose fillings their own fillings for their sandwiches. We then ate them later in the afternoon! 🙂
