History WW2 Topic
As part of their history topic on WW2 and the Battle of Britain, children in Year 6 welcomed a special visitor who came in to talk about his collection of WW2 memorabilia. Dylan, who used to attend New Ford Academy, has a passion for history, particularly WW2, and is an avid collector of items related to this period. Children were fascinated to look at and learn about the items he brought in which included ration books, pocket guides detailing what to do in an emergency, and uniform and kit used and worn by our servicemen. They had the opportunity to try on uniform and ‘interrogate’ Dylan whose knowledge of WW2 is incredible.
