Mindfulness Club
This is for children at KS1 & KS2
Mindfulness Club offers children different ways to practise using their senses to focus on one thing at a time. Some of the activities involve focusing our attention, feeling calm and how to care for ourselves and others.
Mindfulness club is for a small group of children and usually takes place in the family hub as a morning or after school club.
Monday 30th September 2024 - On Monday morning, the children in Mindfulness Club made their own worry monsters. They painted a tissue box and used different craft bits to design their monster.

In Mindfulness Club, the children enjoyed making energy slime! We used cornflour and water to make it. The children played with the slime, squeezing it with high energy and releasing it with low energy to see how the sensations made us feel.
Monday 16th October 2023
On Monday morning, the children in mindfulness club made their own glitter jars. We added warm water, glue, red food colouring and glitter to the jars and then shook them up. The children can use the jars to help them feel calm.
January 2023
In Mindfulness Club this week, the children enjoyed making their own Kindness Jar. Each week, they are going to write kind things about themselves and each other on paper and add them to their jar. At the end of the term, they can take their jars full of kindness home to remind themselves how amazing they are!
