Money Heroes
This week we have been learning about money. We shared the Ed and Bunny books and talked about how we need money to buy the things we need and want. We discussed why it is important to earn money when we are grown up and explored different jobs we might like to do in the future. The children enjoyed sharing their ideas and talking about their aspirations. They also had lots of fun playing shops, taking turns to buy and sell items, and decorated their own piggy banks to take home.
On Tuesday the Poppies have been learning about money! We identified the different coins that we use when we go shopping and role played playing in the salons and at the pet shop. The children also talked about what jobs they would like when they are older and what they would like to save up for in their piggy banks! Miller- ' You have to go to work to get money'. Layla- ' You can sell stuff like lemonade'. Freyja- ' I would like to be a nurse' William- ' I would like to work at Alton Towers!' Finan- ' I'm saving up so I can go to the sweet shop'.
