Peak Wildlife Visit

Year 1 had a wonderful trip to Peak Wildlife to consolidate our learning about hot and cold countries. Throughout the day, we explored a variety of animals and discussed the different habitats they live in around the world. The children used their geographical knowledge to identify where animals might live on the globe, talking about places near the Equator as well as the North Pole and South Pole. They considered how the climate affects the animals and why certain species are suited to either hot or cold environments. The visit provided an exciting opportunity for the children to bring their classroom learning to life, ask thoughtful questions, and make connections between geography and the natural world. We were incredibly proud of their enthusiasm, curiosity, and excellent behaviour throughout the day.
