Remembrance 11th November 2024

Our Nursery children have been making Poppy flowers for remembrance day, remembering our soldiers. We made a Poppy by painting our hand with green and red paint. The palm of our hand was painted red for the poppy flower and our fingers were painted green, to represent the leaves. We then made a print on some paper and when this was dry we cut them out. We held these as we listened to the remembrance assembly on Monday in school. In the classroom we also used red dough and black buttons to make our own Poppy flowers. We have been busy making a Poppy field picture too which will be displayed in school. We used apples cut in half and dipped in red paint to print the Poppy flower alongside some wavy green stems that had been painted.
