Secret Storyteller

We love reading in the EYFS, and take every opportunity to develop a love of books and stories.  Reading is so important for developing children's language, communication and literacy skills, and also their imagination.

In the EYFS we have Secret Storyteller sessions where a special visitor surprises the children by coming into class to read a story to them.  Our children are always so excited to find out who the Secret Storyteller is, and they have a wonderful time listening to the stories.

We had a very exciting Secret Story teller in the Poppies today!

Matilda from Signal 1's breakfast show came to read two stories to us.

We particularly loved the story ' Super Red Riding Hood' by Gemma Cary- Red Riding hood was a brave super hero! We all listened very intently and Matilda also talked to us about her job on the radio.

Big thank you Matilda, we loved having you to visit 🙂.

If you would like to be a Secret Story teller and read a story to our class, please get in touch with the school office or your child's class teacher.
