During this week’s Wednesday assembly, Time4Sport came to visit, to teach us about the importance of water safety. We learned about how to stay safe, in and around water, to avoid accidents.
We learned about different risks, when near water. Even if we have learned how to swim, we still need to think about water safety. Water can be dangerous, as we don’t know how deep it can be. Cold water can affect breathing and movement, even if the weather is warm and sunny. Seas and rivers can have fast moving currents that can pull you away from land very quickly. Some water can be unclean and make you ill. There might be hidden dangers under the water that you can’t see that could also harm you. The Water Safety Code helps us to stay safe.
