Walk around our Local Community, Smallthorne - 21st and 22nd March

Our Nursery children have enjoyed a walk around our local area of Smallthorne this week, to learn about where we live and what happens in our community. 

First, we visited the 'One Stop' shop and bought a card for our friends in Nursery, and some biscuits.  Then we wrote a message in the card, and posted it in the post box on Community Drive.

We had to look for different places on our journey, and ticked then off on a chart when we found them.

We walked to see the Health Centre, and the Community Centre and talked about our experiences there. On the way, we saw some builders who were working on the houses.  They were rendering the side of the buildings, cutting wood and painting.

Following that, we walked to the edge of Ford Green Road to see other shops and buildings.  The road was very busy and we saw lots of traffic.

We had a wonderful morning and saw lots of friendly and familiar people on the way.  We are looking forward to receiving our cards through the post.
